In this video I will show you how to make a delicious lemon drizzle cake.

Voted as one of the nations most favourite cakes, you're sure to love this delicious lemon drizzle cake. The sponge is sweet, zingy and glazed with a scrumptious crunchy lemon drizzle icing. Pure perfection!!!

This is a super easy recipe that you and your kids will love to make, and the whole family will love to eat.

Ingredients you'll need for the sponge
225g Self Raising Flour
225g Caster suger
225g Butter
4 eggs
peel of 2 unwaxed lemons
1 tsp lemon extract

Ingredients for the drizzle
100g caster sugar
juice of 2 lemons (use the juice from the 2 lemons you took the peel from for the sponge)

Ingredients for the icing
100g icing sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Total amount of fresh lemons needed is 3.
