How to make an Origami Submarine: 'Souryu'class an improved version

Follow
ORIGAMI COLONEL / 折り紙カーネル

This is a tutorial of an Origami submarine, made by not cutting a sheet of paper at all, but only folding it. This model represents only the part that appears on the water when it's surfacing. This is the socalled waterline model.
It is an improvement of the "Souryu" class published in another movie before. It is much easier to make the sail (a tall structure that covers a periscope etc.) and the foreplanes (the rudders sticking out from the sail to the left and right). And yet the style is as good as the last one. The shape around the foreplanes is much easier to maintain. This has reduced the demand for glue. I think I found a reasonable way to fold it.
In addition, although the “Souryu” class is characterized by an Xtail, I introduced how to make a conventional crossshaped tail in this article so that you can make other types of submarines as well.
The movie is more time consuming and detailed than its predecessor. To make the movie easier to watch, the paper used for explanations has been changed from black paper to blue paper. Please take a look at it.
