Chicken a la King was a popular family meal for decades. I enjoyed it many times growing up. It's a simple classic dish of chicken and vegetables cooked in a cream sauce served over rice, noodles or puff pastry. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

Chicken a la King
810 Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs or 34 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
Season Chicken with Morton's Natures Season Blend to taste (about 2 t.)
If you don't have Natures Season Blend use:
1 1/2 t. Salt (Kosher Salt if you have it)
1/4 t. Coarse Black Pepper
1/4 t. Onion Powder
1/4 t. Garlic Powder
Mix those seasonings together and sprinkle over chicken. Add more or less depending on your taste.
1 10.5 oz Can Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1 10.5 oz Can filled with Half and Half
1 C. Chicken Stock or Broth
1 Celery Rib Chopped
1 C. Yellow Onion Chopped
2 T. Butter (to sauté the celery and onion)
18oz Pack of Baby Bella Mushrooms Sliced
1 C. Frozen Peas & Carrots
Optional:
1/3 C. Frozen Corn
Thickner:
Blend together
2 T. Melted Butter
2T. AllPurpose Flour
Additional Salt and Pepper to taste after sauce is done.
I make 6 C. of cooked rice to serve with it. Make more or less depending on your families need.
Cook in crockpot on high 34 hours or low 68 hours.
