HOW TO MAKE COPYING GAME FASTER IN NBA 2K24 — PS4, XBOX ONE, PS5 & XBOX SERIES X|S

A few hours ago, NBA 2K24 was released on both current gen and next gen systems. Now one major obstacle you may run into when trying to load up the game for the first time is this screen here. You'll get access to a few limited features in this version of the game, but you won't be able to enjoy the full experience until your game is 100% installed. Luckily for you, in this video, I'll be going over how to make that installation process go by much faster, and it’s worth mentioning that these methods work regardless of which system you’re on.

STEP 1 — HOW TO CLOSE YOUR APPLICATION:

• PS4: Launch the Quick Menu by longpressing the PS button. Then, scroll to the top and select Close Application from the list of options.

• PS5: Launch the Home screen by longpressing the PS button. Then, while hovering over NBA 2K24, press the Options button and select Close Game.

• Xbox One / Xbox Series: Start by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide. With NBA 2K24 highlighted, press the Menu button and select Quit.

STEP 2 — HOW TO ACCESS YOUR DOWNLOADS:

• PS4: Press the PS button to bring up the Home menu. Then, press UP on the Dpad, select Notifications, and the first option here should say Downloads.

• PS5: Press the PS button to go to the Control Center. Then, scroll over and select Downloads/Uploads.

• Xbox One / Xbox Series: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select My games & apps, then See all. Finally, go to Manage, and then select Queue.

STEP 3 — HOW TO CHANGE CONNECTION FROM ‘WIRELESS’ TO ‘WIRED’:

• PS4: You can connect to the Internet with the PlayStation 4 console by using a LAN cable (for a wired connection) by going to Settings, Network, Set Up Internet Connection and selecting Use a LAN Cable. If you select Easy and follow the onscreen prompts, the standard settings are then automatically selected. Should you wish to adjust your settings further, in case you are required to do so because of your network environment, you can select Custom.

• PS5: You can connect to the Internet with the PlayStation 5 console by using a LAN cable (for a wired connection) by going to Settings, Network, Settings, Set Up Internet Connection, and then Set Up Wired LAN. If you select Connect and follow the onscreen prompts, the standard settings are then automatically selected. To adjust your settings select Advanced Settings.

• Xbox One / Xbox Series: All you need to do is plug an ethernet cable into your internet router and then run that ethernet cable to the corresponding port on the back of your Xbox Series X|S. Once your console is connected via ethernet, it'll automatically attempt to connect to Xbox Live and the internet.

STEP 4 — HOW TO CHANGE YOUR DNS SERVER SETTINGS:

• PS4: From the PS4 Menu, scroll right to Settings, Network, Set Up Internet Connection, and Select either WiFi or LAN cable (Wired). From there, enter the Primary DNS and the Secondary DNS. Next, MTU Settings (Automatic), Proxy Server (Do Not Use), and Test Internet Connection.

• PS5: From the PS5 Menu, scroll right to Settings, Network, Settings again, and Set Up Internet Connection. Select your desired network and go to Advanced Settings. From there, change DNS Settings from Automatic to Manual, and enter the Primary DNS and the Secondary DNS. Next, MTU Settings (Automatic), Proxy Server (Do Not Use), and Test Internet Connection.

• Xbox One / Xbox Series: From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings, Network, Advanced settings, DNS settings, and then Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings.) From there, enter the Primary DNS and the Secondary DNS.

STEP 5 — HOW TO PUT CONSOLE IN REST MODE:

• PS4: You can put your PS4 system in rest mode by pressing and holding the power button until the system beeps.

• PS5: You can put your PS5 system in rest mode by pressing and holding the power button until the system beeps.

• Xbox One / Xbox Series: Press Guide on the controller. Go to System and click on the Settings option. Navigate to Power & Startup. Under the Power Options, you need to highlight the Power mode, and press A on your controller. Here you can toggle between two options – Instanton and Energysaving. Select Instanton to enable it.
