and Welcome to a Desi Ghee ( How to make ghee ) Special Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
The month of shravan is near and our Ghee was almost over, Pooja was preparing Lapshi ( a dessert made from Lapshi Semolina ) and she came to know that the she needs to make ghee at home.
She usually collects the fresh cream from the full fat milk of buffalo and keeps it in the refrigerator. She has collected almost 15 days of cream and today she will make ghee from it.
First she collected today's fresh cream and kept it in 15 days collected cream. Then she added curd in it and mixed well, the mixture is kept overnight to make whole curd from the cream.
Next morning she took this curd of cream and whisked and churned until the fresh butter is separated. She washed these butter balls twice and kept on the fire and cooked until the ghee ( clarified butter ) separates.
When it is clear, she added betel leaves in it and kept for cooling.
Till the ghee was cooling, Pooja took the remaining buttermilk and prepared home made paneer from it. Still some buttermilk was remaining which we can have at meals.
In this episode Pooja prepared 4 in one recipes i.e. Ghee, Paneer, Butter, Buttermilk.
