You will love these pickled onions! Easy to make, great tasting and a must at any BBQ, below you'll find the recipe:
1 TBS black pepper corn
1 TBS whole allspice
1 Tsp white sugar
1 Tsp regular salt
1 bayleaf
2 dried red peppers (whole)
1 fresh garlic clove peeled and smashed
1 fresh red onion, peeled and cut thin with long pieces
1 Mason jar
3/4 cup of water
3/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
Combine all the seasonings and ingredients into a sauce pan with the water and vinegar and bring to a small boil and turn off. Cut up your onion and stuff into a mason jar to the top. Pour your liquid plus all the ingredients into the jar. Don't leave anything behind! Let cool off to room temperature then seal and place in the fridge or cooler for 1 to 2 days. Great with meat, sandwiches and even salads! Cheers!
