How to massage the jaw?

In the case of jaw pain, locking, clenching, bruxism and jaw cracking, massage can be a good solution.
The good news is that you can massage your jaw at home!

In this first video, I propose to teach you how to do a selfmassage of the jaw.
I have selected 3 muscles that are very important to me:
the Temporal muscle
the Masseter muscle
the Lateral Pterygoid muscle

For each muscle, I explain how to locate it, what its action is and how to massage it of course.
There will be external massages but also intra buccal massages.

Dosage :
the Temporal muscle
Circular massage with the fingertips: 10 repetitions in one direction then 10 repetitions in the other. This massage is slow and supported.
Massage by traction of the temporal fascia: 10 repetitions in each position.

the Masseter muscle
Circular massage with the fingertips: 10 repetitions in one direction and then 10 repetitions in the other. This massage is slow and supportive.
Massage with the heel of the hand accompanying the opening of the jaw: 5 repetitions.
Massage with the heel of the hand in the opposite direction of the jaw opening: 5 repetitions.
Intraoral massage: 15 traction movements.

Lateral pterygoid muscle
Intraoral massage: Press with the finger on the expiratory time for 10 seconds then release. Do 5 repetitions.

In case you don't care about the explanations, I have chaptered this video. So you can go directly to the place you want to watch.
