How To Move Up In Your Career Why A Steady Job Is Bad For Your Career

If you're staying in a job too long, or waiting around for or been passed up for a promotion, you're not going to get to the top of you career. If you want to learn how to get promoted and land a better job, stop being so loyal. I'll show you how to move up in your job

Why a steady job is a bad thing...if you care about your career.

That’s right. I’m actually suggesting that a steady job is detrimental to a successful career. Hear me out though on why.

We are taught the value of loyalty and stability well before we even enter into the workforce. Its engrained into us to pay our dues, stick with it and “be the company guy" and you'll get promoted. And in reality, there’s nothing wrong with having those characteristics.

But at what point does having that mentality start to hurt you?

By waiting around for someone to recognize you, or paying your dues in hopes someone will reward your loyalty, you're simply letting others manage your career for you. Not only that, but you'll be passed up in compensation.

Act like free agent take ownership of your career, develop your skills and make sure you're one in the driver's seat. Your career will thank you for it.
