Thanks everyone who has looked into finding the original artist His name is Fortune Carr (1905 1970) a French artist, born in Marseille. Looks like a got a few things wrong! it's certainly more than just a 'tourist' painting as I suggested and it's more likely the scene is from the South of France weather than Greece.
