Paint and enjoy the painting at the same time. That's what matters to me. Put your perfectionism aside. Because in order for this shabby chic style to be expressed, the brushstrokes, the traces of the application, are allowed to remain. So don't work so neatly ;) By painting in layers you cover the bottom layer. As a beginner, you can apply the first color in a relaxed manner and just have fun. This is also something for everyone who is looking for a way from representational painting to abstract painting. The painting technique is simple. First you apply the acrylic paint brown, plus a strong orange with the palette knife and let the layer dry. You can safely use a hair dryer to dry it. During the drying time you can mix a second color and look for a tool to scrape it out. Because you take your motif out of the wet paint. So if the next color is still wet, you take the motif out. That's how I work in the abstract as well as in representational painting. There are numerous videos on the channel (tips videos below). You only need a little color. I got my inspiration on a walk through nature. In spring the first fruit trees are already blooming. A few cherry blossoms were waving in the wind calling out to me: take this beautiful pink ;)
