In this tutorial I'll show how to paint fur in acrylics. The process of painting realistic fur relies on the layers and brush technique. Taken from a Red Squirrel painting this demonstrates the order of which I prefer the layer the acrylic paint. Packed with tips for painting fur which can be applied to any animal.
