This painting tutorial for beginners shows how to paint a few types of hair using a stepbystep process. Once you know these basics, you can continue practicing and find some specific ways to make this work for you.
I recommend using acrylic paint if you want similar results. However, you can apply parts of this tutorial to other types of paint, and even dry drawing materials!

canvas that has been gessoed
Blickrylics acrylic paint in yellow ochre, burnt sienna, raw umber, white, and black
a round brush
water
paper towel for cleaning my brush
