How to Paint Silver with Panpastels and Pastel Pencils

In this pastel demonstration I show you how I paint silver without using metallic silver with PanPastels and Pastel Pencils on Pastelmat with my brush technique, which is how I work these days.

I use masking film to prevent halos around my subjects and show you how I mix colours with PanPastels if I don’t have the hue or colour.

The PanPastel colours I use are as follows:

Paynes Grey Group
Ultramarine Blue tint
Neutral Grey Group

The art supplies I use are listed below:

Pan Pastels
Pastel Pencils
Pastelmat by Clairefontaine
Glassine Paper to protect work while I was painting
Gum eraser & Kneaded eraser
Sofft Tools
Synthetic makeup brush for applying, blending and adding details.
Mask IT masking film by XPress IT
Exacto knife
