Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, discusses the brachialis muscle in today's video.

The brachialis muscle is a small but very important muscle of the upper body. Most people are not familiar with the brachialis muscle and therefore often ignore it in regards to stretching, strengthening, and performing fascial release therapy on it.

The brachialis muscle is a pure flexor of the elbow. When you perform exercises where the forearms are pronated (exercises with an overhand grip such as pull ups, bent over rows, etc.) the biceps are at a mechanical disadvantage. In these situations, the brachialis is doing a tremendous amount of the work. This can lead to pain and injury.

In today's video, I demonstrate a number of fascial release techniques that you can perform on the brachialis muscle to help reduce fascial adhesion (scar tissue). I hope you find today's video helpful!
