How to Perform the Weber u0026 Rinne Hearing Tests | Clinical Examination Skills

Follow
TheSunnyEdge

In this video, I demonstrate how to perform the Weber & Rinne Hearing Tests. These two screening hearing examinations are commonly used in the primary care setting as an initial evaluation of hearing loss. The Weber and Rinne Tests are very quick and easy to perform during your patient assessments and are essential clinical examination skills to master, especially as a provider in the primary care setting. If there is any concern for hearing loss after performing the Weber & Rinne Hearing Tests, then further evaluation by an ENT specialist is likely needed.

I am a dual certified family and pediatric nurse practitioner. I worked many years as a registered nurse (RN) in the emergency room, then continued working in the emergency room after becoming a nurse practitioner (NP). I also did travel nursing as an ER nurse. Check out my travel nursing videos to learn more about my life as a travel nurse. :)
