This video simply demonstrates how to do trigger point pressure release, I would encourage you to stay till the very end of the video where I stretch the client's rhomboids and massage them in a lengthened position...

Before performing trigger point pressure release I would encourage you to warm up the tissue, this ensures the client's tissues are ready for you to perform deeper work on their tissues...

The only way to effectively perform trigger point pressure release is to be sure to communicate with your client, that way you know when you have hit a trigger point...

You are going to want to use a subjective pain scale, 1 hardly any pain, 10 excruciating pain, the sweet spot is going to be 6, make sure your client breathes while you are applying pressure...

Also, the expanding of the thoracic cage will add more pressure to the trigger point, make sure you adjust accordingly depending on whether your client is comfortable...

I would only encourage you to treat the area no more than three times, then move on to a different area of the body to treat, and on your client's next session, you are welcome to treat this area again...

This video is for educational purposes only, do not take it as set in stone, I would encourage you to continue your education with an appropriate continuing education provider... as well as invest in a textbook that covers trigger point pressure release...

Very respectfully,
WellKnown Reyes
