How To Play Sweet Home Alabama Guitar Lesson | GUITAR RIFF TUTORIAL WITH TABS

In this Guitar lesson James breaks down the intro to Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd on Electric guitar. The riff is based around the D, C & G chords that surround it with some interesting note choices that make it sound so Iconic!

Break it down into chunks and take your time. This is a really satisfying one once you get it!

For the tone I am using a clean amp setting with a splash of reverb. The original was played on a Stratocaster using what sounds to me like the 4th position on the pickup selector so that's what I am using. I would assume they used a clean Fender amp for the original, something like a Twin Reverb or a Deluxe.

If you are using a guitar with Humbuckers ala Gibson i would use the bridge pickup and plenty of Treble.
