How to prepare Tuo Zaafi (TZ ) and Ayoyo soup

Tz, tuo zaffi, diehuo, is a popular dish in Ghana which originates from the northern part of the country. It is in fact, a meal enjoyed in other African countries. It is is not just delicious, but highly nutritious and very loved by children due ti its very soft nature. Both my kids love it! Why don't you give it a try?




okro Ingredients
1 14oz package jute leaves/ayoyo (or a bunch of fresh one)
2 small herrings,
1 teaspoon baking soda
20 grams dawada (african locust beans)
salt to taste
3 cups water


Ingredients for tz

6 cups water (1 cup to mix corn flour and boil 5 cups)
2 cups cassava flour (kokonte)
1 cup corn flour (aburo gari)
