The Venturi Effect says that a fluid that moves at different speeds inside a tube also has pressure differences. Where the fluid's velocity is high, its pressure is low. The device we build makes use of this property.
We will produce a low pressure region by injecting a jet of water at high speed, at low pressure produced inside the pipe that will make the liquid suction at the other end of the tube.
This type of hydraulic device lends itself to pumping liquids that contain solid impurities and where the use of another type of pump would be unfeasible. For example when you want to pump water containing sand, mud, sludge or sewage.
