How to range target Using Scope reticle?

1 mildot = 3.6" @ 100y
1 MOA =1.047" @ 100y

1. know first what scope you have if it is in MOA or in MRAD reticle...

2. is it FFP or SFP?

a.) In FFP any magnification will do as long as the reticle you see is clear.

b.) For SFP or SECOND FOCAL PLANE  you need to do this.
Know the true scope magnification of your scope. How to do this?
We need to put an specific size such as (3.6" for MRAD) or (1.047" for MOA) @ 100y
It should be 1 MILDOT or 1 MOA when you play with your magnification adjustment..
Now Mark it. or put a reference. ( you will need it althrough out  the TUTORIAL VIDEO.
Some manufacturer will include it in the specification of the certain scope when you purchase.

3. In this method You'll need to know exact or rough estimation of your target size. (in this video we will make it exact target)

4. We are going to do a math calculations by Using INCHES x 27.77 divided by Mildot (mildot is known is what you see in the scope where you put the target..
on MOA its INCHES x 95.5 divided by MOA.

Example.
for MRAD scope
I have a target size of 3.6" and its covering 2.5 mildot on my scope.

a.) Lets do the math.

3.6" x 27.77 / 2.5 =( 39.9y ) This is the distance of your target..

in MOA scope

3.6" x 95.55 / 8.595 = ( 40y ) this is your distance..

how i come up with the 8.595? simple i converted the MRAD into MOA to do that is in the bottom part.

Another example Dove estimate height is 5". you can see it like 3 mildot.

5 x 27.77 / 3 = ( 46.2y) Target. MIL
5 x 95.5 / 10.3 = ( 46.3y ) target MOA

HOW I CALCULATE THE MRAD to MOA ?
For example, if you have 1 mildot, it would be approximately

1 MILDOT = 3.438 MOA

1×3.438=3.438 MOA.
