This lesson shows you some tips on how to practice scales.You should practice them rhythmically, using a metronome. You can also play the scales as broken 3rds and 4ths. This allows you to see the scale from multiple perspectives, allowing you to properly internalize it. It will also give you patterns to use when improvising as well as L.H. fourth voicings to comp with.
