Removing flooring adhesive from a concrete floor is hard work, guys. I don't know of any magic way around that. But, some ways are cheaper and easier than others, depending on how much adhesive you need to scrape off your floor.

Here are the 5 DIY Ways to scrape off glue or adhesive on concrete floors:
1. Use a Flooring Chisel with a Hand Guard to scrape off light strips or small amounts of adhesive.
2. Use an oscillating tool with a Scraping attachment to quickly scrape off strips of adhesive for light to medium amounts of adhesive.
3. If you have large amounts of flooring adhesive on your concrete floor that need to be removed, or if you have adhesive stuck to floor leveler that makes the adhesive harder to remove, try a Floor Adhesive Stripper. Spread on a thick layer and be sure to follow the directions on the container for application and safety.
4. For big jobs or multiple rooms, you might want to rent a heavy duty Floor Stripper. It's still heavy and hard to manipulate. So, it will be a work out. But, it can get that adhesive off your concrete faster than the first 3 methods.
5. And, last but not least, they make a stand up version of manual floor scrapers that some contractors prefer. In my opinion, unless your adhesive, flooring, or tiles pop off pretty easily, those stand up floor scrapers take a lot of muscle and hard work on tough jobs.
