Joses Extreme DIY

How to remove truck rivets from awkward places. There are a number of ways to remove rivets, cross cutting, drilling and punching out are a few. But, when there is a difficult to reach rivet, These methods don't work so well. In this case, there were two rivets on the side of the frame slightly above the bottom of the floor panel. There's no way to get a straight shot at them. There were also another two rivets on the bottom of the frame!

See how we got these rivets off to replace a worn bushing and mount on a Silverado torsion Bar Cross Brace. Some of the rivets were on the side of the frame where you couldn't get a punch or a drill on squarely, others were on the bottom of the frame, presenting their own challenges.

Warning: I flagrantly abuse some tools in this video!

Includes some shots of failed attempts lol. But you have to see how we get the bottom rivets out. That's a clear win!
