A stepbystep guide to renewing your Nigerian passport in the UK. One of the most simplified but detailed guide online.

To get your NIN:
• register and or pay for NIN at a centre close to you. Find list of centres here: https://nimc.gov.ng/ukenrolmentcent...
• For your appointment, you will need your passport.
• Your picture will be taken so you might want to get a trim.
• Have a printout copy of your NIN
• Once you have your NIN you can pay for your passport renewal.

To apply for passport renewal.
• To make a renewal application, you have to go to the Nigeria Immigration service website: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pas...
• Then select standard ePassport, select your processing country UK and start application.
• Login using your email address and acknowledge data protection policy.
• Fill out the application form with your details.
• Pay for your passport
• Print out a copy of your application form and proof of payment.
• You will also need to make note of your application ID and reference number which will be given. This will also be emailed to you with your receipt.

To booking your interview appointment
• Go to the Nigerian High Commission website: https://www.nigeriahc.org.uk/
• Click on immigration Book Appointment for ePassport.
• Type in your application ID and your reference number from the previous stage.
• Select an application slot NB: pick a day you are free all day as this could take a while
• Make sure to print appointment booking slip.

Preparing for your appointment:
• Make sure to print out all the documents from all applications: NIN, a copy of your application form and proof of payment and appointment booking slip.
• Administrative fee of £20.00 United Kingdom Postal Order made payable to the Nigeria High Commission, London. You get this from the post office.
• You are also to come along with a stamp Royal Mail C4 special delivery envelope to enable the Mission to mail back your passports as there would be NO physical collection once the biometric has been taken. You will have to write your name and address for where the passport should be delivered to on the envelop, this can be done on the day
• Expired or current passport.
• Pen. You will have to fill out some forms.
• Optional You may require passport photographs of yourself but when I went, I was not asked. My photo was taken there so again, get a trim!

Step 5: Appointment Day
• Book earlier times or go earlier if you could get earlier time as there will be people queuing from 7 am.
NB: REMEMBER YOUR APPOINTMENT SLIP AND PAYMENT SLIP!!!! YOU WONT BE ALLOWED IN WITHOUT IT.
