How To Respectfully Give Useful Feedback To Employees

As a supervisor or manager it’s your task to give regular feedback about employee performance.

If you do this, especially if you criticize, you want to achieve something: you want to help your employee, for example, to improve his or her behaviour.

Feedback is the best tool to help your staff to develop and improve.
Always have in mind: If you criticize, it’s never about punishing or being angry.

If you critize you want to help. You want to help your employee, for example, to improve his or her behaviour.

However, in order to help, you need to take care that he or she is able to accept your feedback. Therefore you should be appreciative and respectful – and yet clear and distinct. That’s not easy to do.
