Dear Sewing Friends, in this video I would love to share with you how I make these partial flat front waistbands with ties and 3 rows of elastic. I find that this looks is quite flattering and fun and perfect for pants, shorts and skirts. Please note that if you want to do a full flat front then you will need to gather the front pants pattern pieces before attaching them to the waistband, otherwise your side seam is going to be moved towards the back of the pants and the entire looks will be very unflattering, that is why I only do a small portion in the front, so that way it is cute, but does not interfere with other elements of the pants.
