As a business owner, your main priority is to maximize revenue for your business.
If you think about it, your personal closet can be an excellent metaphor for your product offering.

When you walk into your closet, there are so many items to choose from. Most of them are still very usable and viable, but a small percentage of them are there because you find it hard to let go of them. They hold sentimental value.

This is also the case with your product offering. Yes, most of your products are probably of great value to your clients. They sell well. But do you have items in your product offering that are not doing great, and yet, you hold on to them for sentimental value?

What about future products? Do you have new products on the horizon that you need to make room for?

If a client had to walk into your product “closet,” what would they see?
Would it be clear to them which products are a good fit and which aren’t?
Do you offer your customer a clear path through your product line?
Lastly, are you pricing your products according to your value?

It’s time to decide what products represent your business the best. Decide which products communicate your brand clearly to your clients.

If you can simplify your product offering, you’ll maximize revenue and grow your business.
