What actually is the passagio or bridge?

The passagio, passage or bridge is a zone in your voice where you have a transition from your chest voice or your head voice, M1 to M2

The passagio is especially difficult for beginning singers to sing in because there’s a good chance you will have a vocal break

A vocal break is a sudden change in the quality, tone or timbre of your voice.

Usually as you’re singing from low to high or high to low.

I want to tell you that if you have a voice break from low to high, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you.

Actually it means that you’re doing something right in that you’re going from the bottom to the top of your voice. If you don’t have a break, then you probably aren’t singing correctly.

We just don’t want the break to be so pronounced that everyone hears it

Vocal breaks can happen when you’re speaking or singing but they always occur when you’re making sound.
