How to synchronize the carbs on a 97 GL1500 Honda Goldwing

Make sure the engine is up to operating temperature before syncing the carbs. The Clymer manual says the gauge readings should be within 40mm (1.6 in HG) or less. If not, then adjustment is required. It will take some time to get it perfect. Adjust a little, blip the throttle a couple of times and let it stabilize, repeat if necessary. You will probably be adjusting the idle during this procedure. Clymer manual states the idle rpm should be 800rpm plus or minus 80rpm.
