I wanted to make this video to help educate people who are looking to buy vintage and used acoustics on what to look out for.

It's not just guitars. You should also be keeping this in mind when looking at any fretted musical instrument, especially ones that have a lot of tension like 12 string guitars and mandolins.

This is one of the most common sad cases I get in the shop. There a a lot of people selling old acoustics on craigslist, reverb and ebay that need neck resets. They might put them up at a pretty good price so people buying those guitars think they are getting a good deal, when in reality they are saddling themselves up with a lemon that will need a lot of work to get it playing again. It's unfortunate, but I have had to break this bad news to a number of people who brought me guitars they bought thinking that they had gotten a great deal on.
