How do you know know when soap is fully cured and ready to use? Weather you are using cold process, hot process or even melt and pour you may have heard a number of things. Most soap makers will tell you to wait 46 weeks to make sure it's fully cured but there has to be a fool proof way for you to know when your soap is ready to use. Simply measure the weight of your soap bar for a few days until the soap stops loosing weight. You will then know that they lye/water solution has finished evaporating and your soap is ready to use. If you are making melt and pour soap you don't have a cure time. The soap is ready to use immediately after it hardens back up.
