An accurate shot begins by understanding the distance between you and your target. Laser rangefinders can be the perfect accessory to help you confirm your shooting distances with one look through the lens. Laser rangefinders operate by hitting your desired target with a laser and measuring the time it takes for it to return. The set speed of the laser in relation to the time it takes to travel determines your target’s distance.

To properly use your rangefinder, first you need to find your target through the magnified monocular lens. Once you’ve located your game, press the “measure” button. This will bring up your rangefinder’s reticle, sort of like crosshairs in your riflescope. Place the crosshairs over your target and press the “measure” button once more to range the distance.
