How to Use a TENS / EMS Muscle Stimulator To Fix Piriformis Muscle Syndrome

Follow
Olivier Girard - the Posture Guy

The pain due to the piriformis muscle is felt in the butt, the pelvis and the hip. It can even cause sciatica! This pain is often so long lasting that you need external help to resolve it.

Here is an effective EMS program that I have developed with my patients, using the Beurer EM49. However, other patients have had good results with other TENS / EMS machines, such as Bluetens.

You should not feel pain, just the sensation that the muscle contracts and relaxes. Therefore, use a low signal intensity.
