Primary coverage: No need to file a claim with your personal auto insurance first, saving you time and hassle.

Damage & Theft protection: Covers the actual cash value of the rental car in case of collision or theft, up to a maximum of $75,000 for vehicles with an original manufacturer's warranty of up to $75,000 when new.

Loss of Use coverage: Reimburses you for any valid loss of use charges imposed by the rental car company if the car is unavailable due to a covered claim.

Administrative fees and Towing: Covers reasonable and customary towing and administrative fees associated with a covered claim.

Visa Infinite benefit: Backed by the extensive benefits and guarantees of Visa Infinite cards, providing additional peace of mind.

Coverage exclusions you need to be aware of:
Luxury vehicles, vans, and trucks: This coverage doesn’t apply for expensive, exotic, and antique cars, cargo vans, vehicles with an open cargo bed, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, motorbikes, limousines, and recreational vehicles.

Duration: Rental periods of up to 15 consecutive days are covered within your country of residence, or rentals of up to 31 consecutive days are covered outside of your country of residence; this benefit is in effect during the time that the rental car is in your control, and terminates when the rental company reassumes control of the vehicle

Certain locations: Coverage may be excluded in some countries such as Israel, Jamaica, and the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Be sure to review Capital One's terms and conditions before renting a car abroad.

Personal liability and injuries: This coverage does not protect you from liability for injuries to yourself, others, or damage to property other than the rental car. You'll still need separate car rental liability insurance for this.
