In this tutorial, we delve into leveraging AI technologies such as ChatGPT or Gemini to enhance the metadata of your YouTube videos, optimizing them for better visibility in search results and suggestions.

Our strategy involves a clever workaround: initially scheduling the video for a later release date. This gives YouTube time to process the video and generate automatic subtitles. It's worth noting that conventional online YouTube subtitle download tools won't be able to access subtitles for scheduled or private videos. This approach allows you to refine the metadata of your video before it goes live, although the same techniques can also be applied to existing videos.

Once the video has been fully processed and automatic subtitles are generated, we navigate to the Subtitles section within YouTube Studio for the specific video we wish to optimize. The processing time may vary depending on the video's length. After downloading the subtitles and opening them in a text editor like Notepad, we extract segments of the automatically generated subtitles and input them into ChatGPT prompts individually. This step is necessary due to the character limitations of each prompt, especially for longer subtitle sequences.

Once all relevant subtitles have been accurately provided, the AI gains a comprehensive understanding of the video's content. This allows you to request suggestions for improved metadata, including optimized titles, descriptions, tags, and even corrections for spelling and grammar errors within the automatic subtitles.

Finally, you manually upload the corrected subtitles to the appropriate language section within the Subtitles tab for the specific video. This meticulous process ensures that your video's metadata is finely tuned for enhanced discoverability and engagement.
