How to Use ModelBuilder Part 7

Follow
Marcos Luna

Seventh video in a series on how to use ModelBuilder in ArcGIS 10.3 to automate geoprocessing tasks. The goal is to build our model to take Boston 311 data, map the data, aggregate it by neighborhood, calculate a series of normalized indices, and output properly symbolized feature layers. In this video we use inline variable substitution to control naming of output layer files and how other output are named. We insert a new variable into the model which is set as a parameter allowing the user to specify the year of the data. This year is then input as inline variable substitute into the names of the feature classes and also into a new permanent feature class output.
