The sum, average, max, min and count functions are some of the most useful and common functions in LibreOffice Calc. They allow you to perform calculations on a range of cells and get the desired result. Here is how to use them:

To use the sum function, type =SUM(range) in a cell, where range is the group of cells you want to add together. For example, =SUM(A1:A10) will add up the values in cells A1 to A10 and display the result in the cell where you typed the formula.
To use the average function, type =AVERAGE(range) in a cell, where range is the group of cells you want to find the average of. For example, =AVERAGE(B1:B10) will find the average of the values in cells B1 to B10 and display the result in the cell where you typed the formula.
To use the max function, type =MAX(range) in a cell, where range is the group of cells you want to find the maximum value of. For example, =MAX(C1:C10) will find the largest value in cells C1 to C10 and display it in the cell where you typed the formula.
To use the min function, type =MIN(range) in a cell, where range is the group of cells you want to find the minimum value of. For example, =MIN(D1:D10) will find the smallest value in cells D1 to D10 and display it in the cell where you typed the formula.
To use the count function, type =COUNT(range) in a cell, where range is the group of cells you want to count how many have numbers in them. For example, =COUNT(E1:E10) will count how many cells in E1 to E10 have numbers in them and display the result in the cell where you typed the formula.

These functions can also be accessed from the AutoSum button on the toolbar, which has a dropdown menu with more options. You can also use more than one range in a single function by separating them with commas. For example, =SUM(A1:A10,B1:B10) will add up the values in both ranges and display the result.
