Hello everyone, today I am featuring cover letter in my video. I am going to teach you how to write an excellent cover letter for direct hire Canada jobs application.
Mostly, cover letters for direct hire jobs are written as email while resumes are sent as attachment in the application. However, some companies might also ask for an attachment of cover letter, in that case you have to do so.

The purpose of cover letter is to introduce yourself, your professional background and prove that you are fit to the position based on your qualification and accomplishment. Cover letters must be brief and concise at the same time needs to spark the attention of the hiring manager.

It has to be unique, powerful and direct to the point. Avoid using generic words instead be innovative in crafting your letter.

An excellent cover letter would possess the following traits:
1. 1 page only
2. has 4 paragraphs
3. has 250 to 400 words
4. uses powerful words
5. able to catch the attention of the hiring manager

The 4 paragraphs are described as:
1st paragraph Powerful introduction Introduce yourself with focus on your career, where did you learn about the job, why you think you are the best candidate , and why you like this company.

2nd paragraph How will be of help to the company How your skills and qualifications will be able to do the requirements of the job. Relate your talent and experience to the needs of the position.

3rd paragraph Tell your accomplishments, show off your achievements that you can carry on to this position if you will be hired.

4th paragraph Call to action Express your desire to be called for an interview. Remind them of your resume attached and thank them for the attention given to your application.
