Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen announced some huge changes recently from huge changes to their art style to the announcement of a new game mode that will possibly allow you to test the game and/or play a new game mode style...depending on how you want to look at it.

It has shades of other MMO kickstarter failed attempts at spinoffs like Ashes of Creation, Camelot Unchained, Chronicles of Elyria and perhaps even Star Citizen (though Citizencon may have put some of that to rest...for a bit)

I have grave concerns about these recent moves with the MMO but it's not because I am upset with each one individually but rather the picture it paints not just of Pantheon's current development state but also the state of independent MMOs in general

Are they even possible or are MMORPGs just too difficult to make on a small budget with a small team?
