Every lightsaber in the Star Wars universe is powered by a Kyber Crystal (and so is the death star) so naturally when Disney brought out Galaxy's Edge and the ability to build your own lightsaber at Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities...it only made sense to be able to choose the lightsaber colour of your choice by selecting your own kyber crystal (kiber crystal).

In addition Disney allow you to buy kyber crystals at the park with a mystery element behind them with random characters such as obi wan kenobi, luke skywalker, darth maul, ahsoka etc being available depending on the colour crystal chosen but only revealed when you put the crystal in a holocron.

But disney were crafty and created an extra rare mystery blind bag / blind box placing the rare black obsidian kyber crystal for the character of snoke within the standard red kyber crystals.

Not only was it a mystery which sith character you would get but now it was a mystery to see if you could get this rare crystal.
