Tropical Storm Beryl is continuing to swirl towards the coast of central Texas and is likely to strengthen back to hurricane status tonight, before it makes landfall. Landfall is now expected to occur in the early hours of Monday morning, likely between 25am in Matagorda County. The storm will then rush inland and start to weaken as wind shear and land interaction takes hold.
Rainfall is expected to reach 10 inches in some locations and extend well inland, with up to 7 feet of storm surge as far as Galveston.
