Hypervolemia is a common complication in the ICU and is associated with increased length of stay and mortality. Ultrafiltration with Aquadex FlexFlow® allows for timely treatment and can be prescribed by any physician trained in extracorporeal therapy. Ultrafiltration has been shown to reduce certain postoperative complications and improve cardiac performance.
