I just picked up an R5C cinema camera and believe it or not, I haven't shot with it yet so forgive the fact that this video is all shot on the Canon R5 which I already have a camera that's served me well over the last two years. In this video, I casually explain why I picked the R5C as my new main camera. I honestly think the Canon R5C is one of the best cameras on the market, especially when it comes to filmmaking and cinematography.

01:38 The main reason I chose the R5C believe it or not, is for photography purposes to have a second Canon body.

02:59 The next reason I picked the camera is to actually rig it up for shooting corporate gigs. Already owning an R5 for the handheld / gimbal stuff, I can use the R5C in a more 'production cam' setup.

04:20 Wildlife is a big thing for me and I want to do more videos of birds. Being able to shoot in 8k raw 60fps is great so I'm looking forward to that.

06:55 Another good reason for me to acquire this cam is the lenses. Canon are making great RF glass and I already have two 'workhorse' lenses so being able to use them both simultaneously is great.

10:57 The final but possibly most important reason I wanted this camera is to shoot short films. Something I wish to do more of and the main reason I got into this stuff in the first place.
