This session i decided to use the simple float rod and reel and freelined tack ticks to try and stalk some canal fish. Armed with bread as my only bait my initial target was chub. Fishing the same area as a previous video where i managed to get a few on topwater soft plastics. I managed a few cracking roach and a decent chub before spotting a couple large shapes in among the weed. Cutting the hooklength and putting on a larger hook i managed to tempt the biggest canal fish of my life to take the floating bread ands what a battle it was!
