The custom 750cc cross kart we built took a BEATING first, I crashed it into a row of small trees, doing a 180, bending a front rim and breaking one of the tie rods. We managed to get it fixed, then I busted the oil pan on a rock trying to beat the CarsandCameras Grand Prix record! We'll keep our eyes open for a new oil pan for the 1982 Honda CB750 engine we used on this project, but I really want to retire the cross kart for a few months while we gather new parts to completely rebuild the front suspension for more travel and better damping, better brakes, and installing a newer, more powerful engine than the tired old Honda currently in the cross kart.
