The world of logo design is a very specific sector of graphic design. I have held a belief for a long time now, that 'trends' do not belong in the logo design industry, and I have very good reasoning behind this belief. Now I don't have issue with Creative Blog and I like a lot of their work, but I don't think that this article is well informed. I go into why in the video, but the main crux of it all, relies on the fact that a logo design is part of a brand, and for a brand to be functional, it needs to be memorable and stand the test of time. If a logo relies on trends, then it will soon becme outdated. It's that simple.
