Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert is an American musical television special that was broadcast live on NBC. The cast includes John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Brandon Victor Dixon and Alice Cooper. The musical, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is almost entirely sungthrough, with minimal spoken dialogue. The plot is loosely based on the Canonical Gospels' accounts of the last week of the life of Jesus Christ, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion.
