on day TWENTY of the Colorado Trail we hiked through the cow flats and finally wrapped up that section of the trail with the deadliest gate I’ve ever seen. we hiked 23 miles on day 20 to get ourselves to the base of San Luis which is apparently where the most lightning strikes happen in the state of Colorado. i somehow picked up some kind of cold and was near catatonic all day because of it.
