All art collectors should have their collection appraised by a Certified Art Appraiser. I called on my friend, sorority sister (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.) and one of the few African American female art appraisers in the nation, Diane DinkinsCarr, to come and appraise a couple of pieces that I own. Here is my experience with the process. My art consists of African American and Artist of African descent. So it meant a lot to have an appraiser who understands and appreciates the value associated with the works.
