I have no lease and my landlord wants me to move out. What do I do?

Attorney Will Worsham appears on the KOLR 10 show "Speaking Legal," where he answers viewers' legal questions live on air. The question on 8/26/14 was "I have been renting a house for two years and have had no issues with the landlord. I have no written lease. My rent is due on the 19th, but my landlord has been very lenient and understanding and has let my rent slide with no penalties. Now, two days before rent is due, the landlord contacted my parents and told them I have to move out as soon as possible. He said he is having marital issues and needs the place for himself. The house is in great condition and looks as it did when I moved in but this landlord has been known for keeping the security deposit. I'm wondering what my rights are and what you recommend? I want this process to be as smooth as possible."
